Our customers often meet with this problem: is there an alternative solution to the replacement of old OLCs with new ones? Replacing installed systems implicates:

	new programming operations
	wiring of the complete system
	commissioning of the installation including testing (electrical and software) without being able to retrieve the former system
	heavy investments without any increase of the production capacity.

In order to lower your costs, your down- time and minimise the risks of a complete starting up, we offer a flexible configuration of the existing equipment that can be swiftly engineered:

• Data exchange between installed input/output and the wiring
• Installation of an interface card (Profibus type) in the input/output
• Programming of the PLC, compatible Profibus-DP master
• Start the program again.

The advantages are obvious:

• No wiring costs
• Down-time tremendously reduced (some minutes to install the ProfiBus card )
• It is easy to get back to the former configuration. This minimises the risks of starting up and allows us to procede to the tests on different phases.

These flexible solutions are already implemented at our customers' sites, they are compatible with Alert, Satt (ABB) and APIL.
